My years learning & perfecting my process for documentary

family photography have taught me how to make sure you're comfortable, facilitate a space for you to act natural & have fun, even if being in front of the camera normally feels totally strange to you. 100% of the families I photograph are just real people who just love their family & want to remember them the way they are right now. They've got no modeling experience, no special credentials. They want to be guided through real moments and real memories, not stiffly posed with a "say cheese" smile just because someone said to smile. They want to prioritize being able to look back at their photo album and say "that's exactly what it felt like"
